Catholic Charities Legal Assistance Department

Services: Offer legal advice, direct representation and referral services to the department’s clients on a wide range of legal issues. Also, have a Pro Bono Program

Chicago Law and Education Foundation

Free remote legal clinics on Thursdays: DACA initial applications, renewals, immigration and housing aid.

Chicago Legal Clinic

Services: Must start by contacting intake specialist (773-731-1762). Offer all types of immigration relief advice. Some services are free, but attorney fees on a sliding scale based on income. 

DePaul Legal Clinic

Services: Legal research on cases

Services: Weekly legal clinic on Tuesdays, from 5 pm – 8 pm. Immigration legal advice on family petitions, U-visa/VAWA cases, citizenship, and deportation cases. Immigration educational workshops and assitance with immigration application process.​

Erie Neighborhood House 

Services: Offer consultations with attorneys for issues including citizenship, renewal of Green Card, family petitions, and representation in removal proceedings. $30 consultation/$50 for asylum cases. 

Hana Center (Korean American Resource and Cultural Center)

Services: Services include citizenship, adjustment of status, Consular processing, family petition, re-entry permit, and the smaller steps in between (passport, interpretation and “Green Card” renewal and replacement. Offer a fee waiver for USCIS application fee for those in citizenship program. Legal clinic offering advice in Spanish, Korean, and English.

Provide legal orientation and representation to immigrant adults and children who are held by the Department of Homeland Security Immigration and Customs Enforcement in immigration detention Free legal representation for asylum seekers.
