Scholarships for all

While an immigration status can limit the type and amount of scholarships students can apply for, it does not prohibit you from applying if you meet the eligibility requirements. Here is a list of scholarships that are currently open or have historically been open to students in the immigration spectrum.

All scholarships provide a list of eligibility requirements for you to be considered for the scholarship. Creating a student profile will help your scholarship search and application process.

It’s important for you to read through the scholarship requirements to ensure that:  

You have a fair chance of getting the scholarship

You avoid spending time and effort on applications for scholarships you are not qualified to receive.

You understand what the scholarship committee values most, allowing you to tailor your application, essays, and supporting documents to better align with their expectations and increase your chances of success.

Student Profile

Understanding your background is important, the more details you can list about yourself the more understanding you will have about the types of scholarships you are able to apply for. 

  • Where do you stand in the immigration spectrum?
  • What is your GPA?
  • Are you a first generation student?
  • What gender do you identify with?
  • Are you part of the LGTBQ+ community?
  • How do you identify ethnically?

Currently Open

Apply before the deadline!

Oct 16th

Any high school student or undergraduate student at a four-year college who has lost a parent or lives in a single-parent household may apply for this scholarship.

Award Amount: $2,000

Oct 18th

Any first-generation high school senior, undergraduate, trade school, or graduate student who is an immigrant may apply for this scholarship. 

Award Amount: $500

Nov 30th

Open to all students and non-students in any stage of life or field of study, the only requirement is that you are moving forward toward something new. 

Award Amount: $1,500

Oct 31st

Any high school or undergraduate student who has at least a 3.0 GPA may apply for this scholarship if they’re an immigrant or the child of immigrant parents.

Award Amount: $888

Nov 13th

To be eligible, you must be a recent immigrant and/or a first-generation high school or undergraduate student in any field of study. 

Award Amount: $500

Scholarships to look out for

CPS Dream Fund Scholarship

Applications are open to undocumented immigrant students with or without TPS. This is a last-dollar scholarship that serves to cover a $6,000 or less tuition gap. Students must have a 2.0 GPA or higher in order to be considered for the scholarship. Typically opens Nov 1st.

The Dream.US National Scholarship

Applications are open to undocumented immigrant students with or without DACA or TPS who came to the U.S. before the age of 16 and before Nov. 1, 2018. The National Scholarship Award will cover tuition and fees at one of our Partner Colleges up to a maximum of $33,000 for a bachelor’s degree. Typically opens Nov 1st.

Quest Bridge National College Match

The National College Match is open to any high school senior, regardless of citizenship, currently attending high school in the U.S. Students attending high school in the U.S. as undocumented, asylees, refugees, or as international students are eligible to apply. Typically opens July 30th.

Your post-secondary goals can be achieved regardless of your immigration status, your path will simply look different.
